Study: Gene-environment Interactions in Asthma
In an article published in the January edition of the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, research was conducted to provide clinical review of key aspects of asthma and allergic disease. The article provides information on the genetics of asthma and a summary of the various study findings; gene-environment interactions such as smoking, air pollution, and workplace exposures; and asthma medications. The review concludes by identifying needs and limitations in the analysis of gene-environment interactions related to asthma.
