A new pilot listing to help consumers, property managers, health and housing professionals find a consultant or contractor to assess or control a healthy homes hazard is available here.  You can use it to find firms or individuals that hold one of 22 credentials administered by organizations that have a credible review and approval process.  The website is only a screening tool.  A credential is not a guarantee that the contractor or consultant will do a good job for you.  You should always check references and prior work. The U.S. Housing and Urban Development’s Office of Healthy Homes and Lead Hazard Control (OHHLHC) sponsored a partnership between National Capitol Contracting (NCC) and the National Center for Healthy (NCHH) homes to create this website.
