Formaldehyde Exposure and Asthma in Children: A Systematic Review

The Department of Epidemiology, School of Public Health, University of Alabama at Birmingham published a study in June, 2011 about the effects of formaldehyde exposure on asthma in young children and found that though there was a positive association between formaldehyde exposure and childhood asthma. However, “given the largely cross-sectional nature of the studies underlying this meta-analysis, further well-designed prospective epidemiologic studies are needed.”  To access the report click here.
