The Association between Community Stressors and Asthma Prevalence of School Children in Winnipeg, Canada
A study conducted by the Department of Pediatrics, University of Alberta and published in the February issue of the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health looks at crime date to determine if social and community stressors affected maternal and child heath. The study found that children raised in environments with a high theft rate were twice as likely to report asthma. To read the report, click here.
