Obesity, Nutrition, and Asthma in Children
A study on the impact of obesity on pediatric health conducted by the Division of Pulmonology, Allergy and Immunology, Nemours Children’s Clinic, Jacksonville, Florida, and published in the June 2012 issue of Pediatric Allergy, Immunology, and Pulmonology found that, “Asthma and obesity are—so to speak—joined at the hip. They are both very important public health problems, are increasingly common in the developed world, and appear to travel together—asthma is more common in the obese.” To read the study, click here.
