The UCLA Center for Health Policy Research has released Health Profiles, which provide quick and easy access to the most commonly requested health indicators from the California Health Interview Survey (CHIS). The profiles present estimates to track changes in insurance status, disease prevalence, health behaviors and overall health status over time. Asthma is included in the profiles. As of 2011, CHIS has moved to a continuous survey enabling frequent release of health estimates that will help policymakers, media, health advocates and others better respond to current events and the impact of a changing economic and social climate on health.
