California Breathing program’s Strategic Plan for Asthma in California, 2015-2019

The California Department of Public Health’s California Breathing program has released a Strategic Plan for Asthma in California, 2015-2019.

The Plan recommends strategies to reduce and prevent the impact of asthma among the approximately five million Californians living with the chronic disease.

The new plan includes goals related to health care, indoor environments, outdoor environments, work-related asthma, partnership and collaboration, and surveillance and research.

California Breathing encourages agencies, organizations and individuals to use the Plan to set goals, identify strategies, and coordinate efforts to achieve effective prevention, management, and treatment of asthma in California.
