Funding Opportunity: National Institute of Health Offers Grants to Examine Relationships Between Asthma, Obesity, and Self-Management

The National Institutes of Health is offering funding to support research examining the relationships between obesity, asthma, and self-management. The prevalence of both asthma and obesity has significantly risen in the past few decades. Although the association between these two conditions has been found in many studies, the exact mechanisms for how this association arises are unresolved to include self-management and achieving control.

Projects eligible for the grant can vary in scope, and projects can include any study that examines links between asthma and obesity as long as the study addresses how it relates to self-management.

The application period is currently open. The scope of the project will determine its project period, with a maximum of five years.
