Trust for America’s Health Releases Blueprint for a Healthier America 2016: Policy for the Next Administration and Congress

What if we could create a new approach to health that prioritizes prevention, reduces disparities, and closes the gap between health care and necessary social services? The Blueprint for a Healthier America 2016: Policy for the Next Administration and Congress aims to do just that.

Released this week by the Trust for America’s Health, the Blueprint details how new and different investments could yield positive returns on investment by adopting proven health strategies. The Blueprint also highlights leading evidence-based strategies for improving health and policy, as well as models to help bring them to scale across the country.

Asthma is referenced throughout the Blueprint for the urgency of the condition, its connections to social and environmental determinants of health like housing, and the availability of proven, cost-effective interventions.

RAMP is pleased to share the “Blueprint for a Healthier America,” and we look forward to supporting its policy recommendations.
