California Breathing Hosts Three-Part Webinar Series on Asthma Control Strategies; Sept-Nov

California Breathing, the California Department of Public Health’s state asthma program, has announced they will be hosting a three-part webinar series about asthma control strategies in California. The series will focus on asthma surveillance, the Asthma Management Academy, and asthma control strategies.

The first session will focus on “The Burden of Asthma in California” and will take place September 14th, highlighting how the burden of asthma disproportionately affects certain populations. The second, “Asthma Management Academy,” will cover how, where, and with whom the Asthma Management Academy has been implemented. It will take place on October 19th, and will also show results of the positive impact the Academy has had on patient health outcomes. The final session, “Asthma Control Strategies Assessment and Recommendations,” will take place November 16th. The session will share whether and how asthma control strategies are being implemented across California, show gaps in services, and share evidence-based recommendations to improve asthma control.
