EPA Opens $20 Million Grant Competition for Community Air Pollution Monitoring; Deadline 2/25

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has announced the availability of $20 million in competitive grants through the American Rescue Plan to enhance ambient air quality monitoring in communities across the United States. Focused on underserved and overburdened communities, the EPA will award funds to support local efforts to monitor air quality and promote air quality monitoring partnerships between communities and Tribal, state, and local governments. The grants are available to community-based nonprofit organizations, Tribes, states, and local governments.

The application period closes on February 25, 2022.
