This year, California Breathing is celebrating seven years of the Asthma Management Academy! The Asthma Management Academy is a no-cost peer-to-peer training for community health workers (CHWs) and other educators. CHWs receive 20 hours of evidence-based training and skill building on how to deliver asthma self-management education to clients and families with asthma, how to conduct an in-home trigger assessment, and review best practices for asthma home visiting. California Breathing is currently recruiting organizations to participate in the Asthma Management Academy. For organizations pursuing Medi-Cal’s Asthma Preventive Services, the Asthma Management Academy is a qualified training!
