The Outdoor Air Quality Flag Program, a partnership of the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District and the American Lung Association of Central California, is being implemented at schools in counties throughout Central California (like Fresno, Kings, Madera, San Joaquin, Stanislaus, and Tulare). The original proposal indicated funding would be allocated for 80 schools in Central California; however, thus far they have only received funding for 53 schools. This program builds off the success of the program, which started through the Merced-Mariposa County Asthma Coalition, //www.mmcac.com/, and the Tulare County Asthma Coalition.
