IAQ in Schools: Healthy School Environments Assessment Tool (Healthy SEAT)
IAQ in Schools: Healthy School Environments Assessment Tool (Healthy SEAT) In an ongoing effort to promote children’s environmental health and safety, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) is developing a unique tool to assist school districts in evaluating their school facilities for key environmental, safety and health issues. The Healthy School Environments Assessment Tool (Healthy SEAT) will fully integrate USEPA’s programs for schools and encourage states, school districts, and schools to participate in voluntary USEPA programs to achieve a healthy learning environment. Healthy SEAT will also provide an effective compliance assistance tool for regulatory requirements. NOTE: After final public review, pilot testing in each USEPA region, and final approval, CAFA and RAMP will provide more information provided by USEPA about the Healthy SEAT on this webpage, including direct hyperlinks to a USEPA website and a document you can download.
