Mannino, M.D. will present on the topic Racial and Ethnic Disparities in Asthma””. Dr. Mannino is currently Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky and the Director of the Pulmonary Epidemiology Research Laboratory. He was formerly the chief science officer of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Air Pollution and Respiratory Health Branch. He has over 100 publications in leading peer-reviewed journals on topics that range from the epidemiology of lung disease to health effects related to air pollutant exposure. He is an Associate Editor of the journals Thorax and Chest.
