Study Evaluates the Effects of Traffic-Related Outdoor Air Pollution on Children, Taking into Account Indoor Air Pollution, in Indonesia
This Indonesian based study published in the Journal of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, determined that proximity to a major road increased the prevalence of respiratory illness and mortality in children both in urban and rural areas after adjusting for indoor air pollution. Furthermore, the study concluded that indoor air pollution could exacerbate the effects of outdoor air pollution. For more information, please click here.
