Thank You for Donating!

On behalf of Regional Asthma Management and Prevention (RAMP), a project of the Public Health Institute, I would like to thank you for your generous gift. Your commitment to reducing the burden of asthma in our community is sincerely appreciated.

Over the past fourteen years of service, RAMP has grown and evolved to have a significant impact on asthma in California. Our approach ranges from clinical management to environmental protection and addresses asthma in multiple settings including schools, child care settings, housing, outdoor environments, and clinical settings.

We encourage you to learn more about our programs, our accomplishments, and how you others can get involved in our work. A few examples of recent successes include:

  • Last year, we distributed over 40,000 Asthma Action Plans, free of charge, to help providers and patients successfully manage asthma in accordance with the latest national clinical guidelines.
  • We continued to provide training and support for Community Health Outreach Workers, who are instrumental in providing support and education for families affected by asthma.
  • We continued to provide direct assistance to community asthma coalitions, not only in the Bay Area, but also in the heavily impacted Central Valley.
  • We continued our efforts with the Ditching Dirty Diesel Collaborative, a regional collaborative that works toward reducing harmful air pollution in the most impacted communities in the Bay Area.
  • We supported numerous bills and regulations aimed at reducing environmental asthma triggers and even co-sponsored our first bill, focused on reducing the use of harmful cleaning products in schools.

RAMP’s goal is to continue to expand upon our list of successes as we make a difference in the lives of those with asthma. With the help of donations from supporters like you we will continue to see improvements in asthma rates in California. Thank you again for your generous support of our efforts!
