The Impact of the 2002 Delaware Smoking Ordinance on Heart Attacks and Asthma
The School of Public Health at the University of Saskatchewan recently conducted a study on how a 2002 smoking ordinance has affected heart attack and asthma rates in Delaware. Among their findings was that “Delaware’s comprehensive non-smoking ordinance effectively was associated with a statistically significant decrease in the incidence Acute Myocardial Infarction and asthma in Delaware residents when compared to non-Delaware residents.” To read an abstract and for information on how to access the full study, click here.
